This limited release wine is blended from our finest parcels of 2013 Merlot.
Hand selected grapes were crushed in small open fermenters and pumped over twice daily (for seven days) to maximise flavour and tannin extraction. The wine was left on skins for 10 days before pressing and transferred into new and one year old French oak barriques for 14 months of maturation.
Deep crimson in colour this wine exhibits intense aromas of mulberry, plum and spice.
With a complex and well structured palate showing fleshy plums and spice with fine silky texture and a long and firm tannin finish. The richness and vibrancy of the fruit ensures a long and persistent finish from this balanced and elegant wine.
