Fruit was handpicked from a single vineyard on a cool hillside site in the Stanley Flat sub-region of the Clare Valley. Grapes were selected from lower yielding vines within the block to capture their citrus-list characters.
On the nose, the wine is lifted and fragrant, with notes of lime zest, lemon blossom and a hint of jasmine. A delicately sweet and flavoursome front palate becomes crisp and clean with a hint of crunchy green apple acidity driving the finish.
This off-dry Riesling is well-suited as an aperitif due to its salivating palace and clean, mineral finish. The wine is also a good partner to spicy food such as a Thai green curry or heat-packed Indian dish.
